Mothman Museum

The Mothman Museum in Point Pleasant highlights the legend of the Mothman and documents actual sightings, news reports, and media and pop culture references of this creature (and the Men In Black) witnessed throughout the region in the late 1960s, as well as connections to the subsequent collapse of the Silver Bridge. Visitors can see the life-size statue of the Mothman and experience the Mothman Festival here every third weekend of September.

Tu-Endie-Wei State Park

This four-acre park in Point Pleasant commemorates the brave frontiersmen who fought and sacrificed their lives during the 1774 Battle of Point Pleasant, the first battle of the Revolutionary War – a bloody battle between a local Shawnee tribe and militiamen that severed the Native American-British alliance and helped spur the American Revolution. An 84-foot granite monument marks the spot at the confluence of the Ohio and Kanawha Rivers. Tu-Endie-Wei State Park is the perfect destination for a relaxed picnic or family gathering.
